Sunday Peaceful Moments January 15, 2017

Hello friends,
This is my very first Sunday Peaceful Moments post.   God has put so many things on my heart.  I wanted to share them with you and hope that it blesses you and brings you peace as it has me.

I am grateful for God’s grace and amazing peace that he brings to me.  I am amazed to see so many freedom in Christ, living free, faith, peace people suffer with guilt and shame from things that they chose or experienced.  God has given us a special gift.  He loves us so much and does not want any of us to suffer.  He is an all forgiving God.  He doesn’t hold anything against us.  All we need to do to receive this gift is to ask for forgiveness.

[blockquote style=”box”]If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. I John 1;9[/blockquote]
I have a friend reach out to me this week, with a pleaded for me to pray for her.  She found herself trapped in a situation that comprised her faith and felt horrible about it.  She shared how ashamed she felt and was begging God for forgiveness.   She continued to  be attacked with thoughts of shame and guilt.  How could I do such a thing?  What is wrong with me?  I messed up so bad.

I shared with her that the enemy thinks he has defeated you and just wants to keep you in that mental misery.

[blockquote style=”box”]There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Romans 1;8[/blockquote]

peace, freedom
Fortunately  for my friend accepted that gift of forgiveness from God and felt a peace and joy.   She no longer has to feel bad for what happened.
I see so many people having such difficulty letting go of those condemning thoughts and not believing that God could forgive them.   The toll that this takes on our emotional state, our health and mental well-being is huge.
I just heard a story about how these people wanted to trap these monkeys.  They put food in these jars so when the monkey would reach in and grab the food,  they could NOT get their hand out of the jar.  Because they held tight on the food and would let go and release their hand from being in a fist they were trapped.  They never let go.  They would rather starve then let go.  That how it is with us sometimes; we wilt away and rot because we don’t let go.
Whatever you need to do in life God will provide a way.  he will give you the grace and joy to move on.
[blockquote style=”box”]Therefore since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 5;1[/blockquote]
I encourage whoever is reading this right now, that maybe  experiencing this, just know the God who created this universe, the stars and galaxies is the same God that is all loving and will forgive you not matter how great you sinned.  All you need to do is believe, have faith and ask for forgiveness.
I am praying blessings for you my friends.  I hope you find some peace with this message.
