You Matter. You are BEAUTIFUL

you are beautifulWhen you pass by a mirror what do you say about yourself?   What thoughts and beliefs do you have about yourself?   I don’t know what you see when you look in the mirror. I don’t know what you depend on to feel okay about yourself. But I do know this … If we could see what God see’s when we look in the mirror, we would feel beautiful because we are. He made us and he doesn’t make junk.

[blockquote style=”box”]Psalms 139:14 I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.[/blockquote]

Do you see?……We are a master piece.

It doesn’t matter if you jeans are 2 or more sizes too big, if your hair is too curly or butt too flat; He sees you as beautiful.

[blockquote style=”box”]Genesis 1:31 And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.[/blockquote]

[blockquote style=”star”]Every time you catch your reflection remind yourself that you are a beloved daughter of the King above all Kings, then peace will flood over you like a river … even if your dress is two sizes too big! Proverbs31.org [/blockquote]

Remember the story of Zacchaeus in the bible and how he tried to get Jesus attention by climbing up a tree and going out on a limb?  He was too short, and hated by most people. He didn’t measure up to the world’s standards but Jesus did notice him.

[blockquote style=”box”]You may feel like you’re out on a limb; Jesus knows. You may feel all alone, but Jesus stops and notices. You are not forgotten; you are not alone.”Rick Warren[/blockquote]

No tear has ever been hidden from him. No hurtful word said to you has ever passed that he missed. No abuse has ever occurred that he didn’t see and grieve with you. He sees it all.

Do you say things like….I am not attractive enough, not smart enough, not fit enough, not creative enough, not good enough. not sexy enough, not strong enough, not whole enough, not womanly enough bla bla bla.   We are broken many times but God can fix anything.

Imagine how different we would feel, the confidence, the joy and the happiness we would have if we can see what God sees when we look into the mirror.

The world has their standards of what is perfect but God is the one who created us.  I think he knows more about the real truth with beauty.

Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised” (Prov. 31:30).

charm

Our self-worth should never depend on how we perceive ourselves but how God sees us.    Seek to find more about how much God values you and see’s you.  You are valuable and beautiful.

I love this song about how God sees us….

Song

We don’t have to find our confidence and worth by attaining the “perfect body.” We live under Christ’s truth and His reality. He is the creator of beauty, and He is the only one who can define it.  Liesyoungwomenbelieve.com

Keep these verses “truths” in front of you.  Say them throughout the day.  Every time you start believing the lies, get out those verses.  Understand how the beliefs about you are lies.  Reject the lies, focus on God’s truths and you will be transformed and feel BEAUTIFUL.

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.  Romans 12:2

Here are a few bible verses that may inspire and encourage you…

Ecclesiastes 3:11 He has made everything beautiful in his time: also he has set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God makes from the beginning to the end.

Prov. 31:30 Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised”

Psalms 139:14   I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.

Maria
